COURSE
DESCRIPTION:
The OSHA 30 Hour General Industry Outreach Training course is a comprehensive
safety program designed for anyone involved in general industry. Specifically
devised for safety directors, foremen, and field supervisors; the program
provides complete information on OSHA compliance issues. OSHA recommends
Outreach Training Programs as an orientation to occupational safety and health
for workers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1910. General industry workers must receive
additional training, when required by OSHA standards, on specific hazards of the
job. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an OSHA
general industry safety and health 30-hour course completion card from the
Department of Labor. Note: This online course has been reviewed and accepted by
OSHA for online distribution.

COURSE
PRE-REQUISITE:
The OSHA 30 Hour General Industry Outreach Training course does not have any
pre-requisites; however, the OSHA 30 Hour General Industry Outreach training
course or an equivalent of 30 hours of prior safety and health training plus 5
years of general industry safety and health experience is a prerequisite for the
OSHA 501 Trainer course.
COMPLETION:
Upon successful completion
of this course, you will receive a course completion card in the mail.
TESTING:
Quizzes - All quizzes must be passed with a 70% to proceed forward to the
next lesson.
Final Exam- Final Exam must be passed with a 70% to pass the course. The final
exam can be taken three times if necessary.

DESCRIPTION:
This course covers thirty (30) hours of training, required by the Occupational
Health and Safety Act (OSHA), that apply toward the 30-hour Construction
Industry course completion card. The course is comprised of 25 sections, each
either one or two hours in length, and covers topics pertaining to regulations
covered by Standard 29 CFR 1926. The successful completion of this course will
help meet the Construction Industry standards established by OSHA.
LEARNING
OBJECTIVES:

references applicable to specific hazardous conditions and practices
(Introduction to OSHA Standards)
- Recognize the aspects
of 1926 Subpart C (General Safety and Health Provisions)
- Implement
preventative measures for accidents in their workplace (Subpart D-
Occupational health and Environmental Controls)
- Describe types of
personal protective equipment (PPE), and the requirements for use in OSHA
standards (Subpart E- Personal Protective Equipment)
- Understand the
requirements for fire protection in the workplace (Subpart F- Fire

SEAT TIME:
This course has been approved for 30 hours of seat time.

Materials:
You will be sent a copy of OSHA Standards for Construction. The book will serve
as an invaluable resource for referencing OSHA standards that have been covered
in this course, as well as researching regulations or standards that could help
in establishing a safer workplace.
TESTING:
At the end of each module, you will be given a 10 question module quiz. You must
score at least 70% on each module quiz to move forward in the course. You will
be given up to three opportunities to pass each module quiz. Failure to
successfully pass the quiz will result in you not being able to take the course
for a six- month period. Once you have successfully completed all of the
modules, you must pass a final exam to recieve full credit for the course.The
exam is 25 questions long and will test your knowledge on information covered
throughout the course. You must make a score of at least 70% to pass this
course. You will be given up to three opportunities to pass the final exam; if
you do not pass it after three tries, you will be locked out of this course and
you will be required to purchase it agian if you wish to complete it.
